Documenting the retirement party of Denny & Bobby

I have been working part time in the family business once I decided to retire from the wedding industry as a photographer. Over the past handful of years I have found myself become more involved within our small community and discovered a new appreciation for small town living.

I feel through working at Shaw's it has deeply impacted the direction of my photography as I began focusing on my own personal work and ongoing projects. Working at the family building supply as their flooring consultant not only allowed me to learn a new skill set, where I didn't need to solely rely on being a photographer, but it also allowed me to discover a new appreciation for the business and the impact they serve within the community.

This past weekend was the retirement party for Denny and Bobby. They have been a part of my family's life for as long as I can remember. It was an honor for me to document this time as I witnessed the outpouring support of co-workers, family members and builders who have become like family to the company and many of the employees over the years. I laughed at the many stories shared and reminisced over the years of having Bobby and Denny in the family's and my life. Well done and congratulations to these two!!
