Dog Days of Summer

and at the end of the day your feet should be dirty, your hair messy and your eyes sparkling.

It was getting late into the day.. I worked close to 5, had photo sessions, went across town a couple times that day and was tired... My dogs, Lola and Millie, had not been walked all day and it was showing up loud and clear.

The rain from earlier that day limited most all my outdoor activity.. so as I noticed the sky lighten up I took it upon myself to get them out for some fresh air... So into the car we piled up as I grabbed my camera last minute.

The lighting this time of day is always so yummy.. so I felt like having it for the 'just in case' moments. We must have splashed around for at least close to an hour before I felt our mission was accomplished.

So back into the car we went.. homeward bound for baths and dinner..

Needless to say, they slept good that evening and I ended up with some memories to cherish these fleeting long days of summertime.
